Adult Day Cosmetology Program
September — June
Admission Requirements
- Applicants must be 17.5 years or older for acceptance into the Tri-County adult cosmetology programs. A birth certificate may be required.
- Aplicants must have a high school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.
- Class size is limited to 15 students and registrants are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. To qualify for in-district tuition fee, proof of residency is required.
Enrollment
The full course of instruction consists of 1,000 hours as required by the State Board of Registration of Hairdressers. Students are expected to maintain regular attendance and satisfactory progress and must maintain a 75% average.

Course Description
All phases of cosmetology will be introduced the first half of the year. These are hairstyling, cutting, permanent waves, coloring, manicuring, and skin care. Students will perfect these basic skills by hands-on training when we offer services to the public. This program will be completed in one full school year (Sep - Jun). Classes are held on Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m..
Basic Rules
- Students are required to wear a uniform that consists of white shirt, black pants, and black or white closed shoes.
- A school provided lab coat would complete the uniform.
- All work must be done under the supervision of an instructor and with the instructor’s permission.
- Students are required to fulfill all instructors’ assignments.
- Any student not in compliance with the rules will not receive his/her hours and may ultimately be terminated from the program.
Tuition - Out Of District (School Year 2011-2012)*
*Tuition is subject to change for the upcoming school year.
- Tuition: $7,950.00 (kit and supplies additional)
- Kit and Supplies: $875.00 (payment due 1st week of class)
Registration Fee: $5.00
Upon registration, a minimum payment of $3955 must be made. The remaining balance is due before the first day of school unless you choose to enroll in our payment plan. Monthly payments for the balance of the tuition due will be made on the fifteenth of each month, beginning in October with the final payment due on May 1st. Monthly payments must be made regardless of attendance. With a down payment of $3955.00, the monthly payment would be $500.00. There is a $50 enrollment fee due upon acceptance into the payment program. Delinquent accounts are subject to late fees. You may contact us if you would like more information about the payment plan. Students whose tuition is in arrears will not receive credit for the hours accrued.

- 100% of fee minus $100.00 withdrawal fee before the first class
- 60% of fee minus $100.00 withdrawal fee after the first class
- 40% of fee minus $100.00 withdrawal fee after the second class
- There will be no refunds after the third class

Rescheduling for cancelled classes
The class schedule has been set to achieve the required 1,000 hours of instruction and practice. Should any of these classes need to be cancelled, they will be rescheduled to ensure that these requirements are satisfied.
